Welcome to OGU!

Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in training (OGU), is a branch of the Swedish Society of Obteticians and Gynaecologists (SFOG). OGU's goal is to protect, and promote good working conditions and training for residents in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. We also provide a national networking opportunity for all residents . OGU aims at supporting interns, resident and new specialists up until two years after their diploma.

OGU actively conveys the opinions of the future specialists to SFOG through our representative on the SFOG Board of trustees, making certain our voice is heard. OGU is also constantly aspiring a well structured specialist training and a good work environment. This is voiced mainly through our two representatives of the Education Committee. They have participated in the design of educational book, SK-courses and specialist’s degree.

Each year, the two-day OGU-congres is organized in the middle of April. This is a popular and highly regarded educational conference. The location changes with each year, and in 2011 we look forward to pleasant days in Stockholm in 2011. The congres offers an educational as well as social program, and also hosts OGU's annual meeting.

During the passed year, OGU has been working on launching the new website and we hope you find interesting and updated information of what's going on here. The members of the board need the enthusiasm of dedicated colleagues to bring us comments and criticism from your clinic, so do not hesitate to contact us if you have questions or concerns!
